Bloodmobile Canteen
Miguel is with Sarah and Steve Walters this week in New Mexico.
The Pontiac Rotary club will be doing the Blood Mobile week on Wednesday, March 24th
Sign up sheets were passed around for cookies and workers to work the canteen. Cookies can be brought next week to Rotary or Dropped off at Farm Bureau

Thanks again so very much for all of your help with plans for the blood drive. Could I ask you to add to your newsletter this week that we still need a volunteer for1 – 2 PM to serve at the canteen as well as alternates who might be available to fill in for cancellations? Foreign Exchange Students weekend
President Marlon Eilts reported a group of 20 Foreign exchange students came to Pontiac for an over night stay on Friday. They toured Pontiac on Friday and went to the Route 66 Museum and to Chicago on Saturday. Carolyn Gerwin gave lodging to some and went to Chicago also. Marty and Shelly Heller also help out.
CARDINAL CARE AWARDS
President Marlon Eilts announce that there will be Cardinal/Cubs game on Saturday, August 14 , 2010 at 3:10 pm. Cardinal Care Awards were Given to participating Rotary Clubs, according to number of tickets sold for the 2009 Cardinal/Cubs game. Our club sold 66 tickets last year and received $792. This money will be used for our Literacy project. We have to date 70 tickets so far. Our goal this year is to sell 200.
If interested in going see President Marlon Susan Curtiss that her grandson was in the Jazz band that played at the Hawaiian Raffle for two and the band teacher LauraRamseyer reported that the kids told her that this was their first paid gig. With the money we gave them for playing she spent the money on taking them all to see the play put on by the PTHS. “Annie Get Your Gun”
Joe Mikulecky reported that he and Mark Donovan went to the President-elect training session last week and said that there were 4 districts there with 280 people attending. Teresa Grant-Quick reported that “Its National Ag Week this week. If you like to eat, thank a farmer!”
